For this week, the poem I have found to be the most interesting is called "Wallet" it's begins with a child taking about their father being upset because his wallet gets stolen. Then the fun begins... the father devises a plan to trick a thief into taking a worthless fake wallet. At first it seems like a store about trying to get back at the thief but the poem uses interesting wording like how the little boy refers to himself as the getaway driver and his father is "casing" a department store. Making it appear as though their little trick isn't so innocent as it seems and when they finally are caught by store clerk, the father makes a break for it and tells his son to "drive fast" as if they had really committed a crime. It's a very lighthearted story and I feel it's about how being a good parent involves teaching our children to not take the heavy and stressful things like getting your wallet stolen, affect the way you live and enjoy your life.
